About - The Physical Performance Coach

The goal

The Physical Performance Coach Limited was formed in February 2020 by Jordan Tyrer, and he has been providing physical performance training for athletes ever since. The company was created with the goal of bringing strength and conditioning and performance support to athletes who do not usually have access to physical performance coaches. Typically, professional clubs employ performance coaches to help optimise the performance of the athletes at the club. However, there are still a lot of athletes out there who don't have access to qualified and experienced performance coaches, and yet they still require strength and conditioning work, injury prevention programmes, nutritional support and more....

That is where The Physical Performance Coach comes in. Jordan brings the knowledge and experience from the professional environments, having worked in them since 2014, and brings it to whoever needs it! Professional, Semi-Professional and recreational athletes have all benefitted from Jordan's help over the years, and The Physical Performance Coach continues to provide the highest standard of physical training and performance support to this day.

The Physical Performance Coach

Having torn my ACL at 18 whilst playing football for my club, I went into coaching football instead. During my recovery, I also started studying Sports & Exercise Sciences at The University of Leeds. Studying the body and it's response to exercise and training in the week, coaching local youth footballers at the weekend.

Fast forward 11 years and I've gained two degrees, multiple accreditations and qualifications and worked for professional clubs in the Premier League, Championship, League 1 and League 2, as well as the Women's Super League and Championship. I've also been fortunate enough to work for The F.A. on the Women's Talent Pathway, working with some of the most talented young footballers in the country.

Ultimately, what all these experiences have in common is the passion for helping people develop their physical capabilities, which is exactly what The Physical Performance Coach continues to do!
